My husband Matt was a hard working man. He was in the army and then became a nurse. He looked after many people from young mentally ill to the eldery and infirm. He was a loving father and husband. He was diagnosed just after Xmas 2011 with cholangiocarcinoma which is cancer of the bile ducts. Unfortunately this also caused a tumour in his liver. We had been happily married since 1975. He was the love of my life and my soulmate. I loved him dearly. After a procedure to reduce his bilirubin levels in his blood which were very high he got two infections which he never recovered from. There was nothing more they could do other than palliative care and my beloved husband passed away peacefully and without pain at 5.30p.m. on Tuesday 26th April 2011. His life was full of love and me and the kids meant everything to him. He was the most selfless man i have ever met and would have given us the world. I will miss him so very much.
